Spring Break 2010

Excitement of the Day: Mochi Ice Cream

This Japanese treat is made by wrapping a sticky rice creation around a ball of ice cream. Really good.

First park of the trip…Magic Kingdom late night!!!

I love you Mary Blair. I smile everytime I see you’re mural in the Contemporary.

We just saw “Alice in Wonderland.” I absolutely loved it. The CGI was incredible. As always, Helena Bonham Carter stole the show. I thought they did a great job of coming up with a new story while still drawing from the original.

I say Magic. You say Kingdom.

Bloomingdale’s had the cutest Alice in Wonderland display in their home department. Not only is Alice a great story it is extremely fashion forward, even when it comes to dishes.

Today after dinner we stopped at a frozen yogurt shop called Menchie’s.  It was so cute!  Everything was self-serve and they had tons of flavors and toppings.

What you do first is fill your cup with what ever flavors of yogur you desire.  Here I have some raspberry and pistachio.  I went back after and added some original.

Once you have chosen your flavors, you head over to the toppings bar.  I topped mine with strawberry, walnut, Reeses, Fruity Pebbles, choclate sprinkles, and chocolate chip cookie dough.

Once you are finished with your creation you weigh it, pay the price per ounce, and viola, you have a beautiful yogurt dessert.

As seen before, us Athens girls love a good mustache.  I saw this display tonight at Bloomingdale’s.  They have made it.  The ‘stache is now fashionable for boys, girls, and even mannequins.

We just made a stop at the Russell Stover factory outlet. For years, we have passed billboard after billboard telling us what exit will lead us to this choclate haven, but we have never been interested. That is, until today. Our new love for coconut clusters led us to this fairytale of a store. It will probably become a regular pitstop from now on.
